The universe is a huge reactor, on a large scale it looks slow, on a micro-scale everything is dizzyingly fast. We understand our short lifespan but also the enormous lifetime of a photon – 10 at the power of 18 years – and the extremely short life of some subatomic particles (top quark).
And what is the relation with gratitude? In short, everything is evolution, reaction, physics, and chemistry. And the chemistry of gratitude is special, as the chemistry of faith. If I were an atheist, and I am not, I would try to understand how and why faith improves the immune system and makes life more beautiful (scientifically proven).
Ascension to gratitude is a long and difficult path, from darkness to light, from ambiguous chemistry to order, balance, and inner peace.
