The White Chair

I believe art is any form of expressing that challenges the receiver to feel and think. I believe the entire universe is a artwork with a single master: the vibration of expansion.

The white chair
The exhibition is about the purity of love and the love for portraiture. It’s purpose is consistency, endless possibilities and the challenge of child modeling from the photographers perspective due the sparkling and energetic personalities of the children.

I love working with children. Their spontaneity and purity always fascinated me. If you tried to photograph a child, you know that his purpose is to be somewhere else, sometimes with his body, other times with his mind.

I do not believe the contemporary art means only the rush for innovation and I don’t believe that art should be talked about only if it has a new concept or technique.

I believe the purpose of art and portraiture is to enchant the viewer and refine his life.

As of now we live in an extended digital world, yet the pleasure you get after touching the cotton photo paper, the sound of rubbing the paper, the smell of the ink, these sensory experiences, surpass all the digital experience… they add dimension to the perception.

The power of art
On the bright side, an artist is one of the most powerful people because it’s works have the potential of influencing forever. Sculpture, music, painting, literature, photography, cinematography, they all influence us and the finest pieces of art live through centuries.

On the down side the artist worth is way less than the potential value of their artworks. As anyone knows, art is an investment, you buy cheap from the artist and after some time, sell way more expensive, after the artist has become famous or he dies. If the art piece reaches the auctions and big collectors… at that point you’ll probably not be able to afford it… it’s just another business.

As I stated before, I believe art is any form of expression that challenge the reciever to feel or think. All great things start small.

The photographs in this exhibition are limited edition. Every artwork is unique, only one piece will ever be printed, signed and authenticated, printed with pigment inks on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm, 100% cotton paper, ISO 9706 conform, museum quality.
